This photographic project was initiated by the artist-photographer Véronique Kolber, the students of the Lycée Aline Mayrisch (optional courses in photography) and their art teacher Séverine Bauer.
Véronique Kolber is an independent photographer based in Luxembourg. Her photographic approach is very intimate and poetic and revolves mainly around the themes of memory, reality and fiction.
Inspired by Véronique Kolber’s photographic work, the young people are encouraged to analyze their daily lives in search of natural or artificial reflective light. Like a logbook, they collect pictures with their cellphones which become traces, imprints of their everyday life. The light reflecting on the wall, the cloudiness of the mist of a window which obstructs the view or a shimmering portrait, all these banal phenomena change the perception of our daily life. By creating a distance from their intimate life, these “reflections” invite dreams, fantasy or contemplation.
