SHIFTING PERSPECTIVES

  • I grew up on a farm on Hunsdorf Street, and the journey from Mullendorf to Lorentzweiler has always captivated me. As a child, I would imagine the lives inside the houses we passed. My fascination with mixing fiction and reality, similar to David Lynch, inspired me to create strange atmospheres in my work.

Rediscovering these villages on foot, I aimed to capture their unique atmospheres without photographing people. However, I soon realized that my vision was incomplete without the human element. Instead of posed portraits, I discreetly photographed passers by from my car, recreating the feeling of observing them from the back seat as a child.

This artistic approach invites viewers to explore these places through my nostalgic perspective, creating a suspended space for imagination.
